Product Description
The Onga CBI4-40PT18 is an automatic multistage pressure pump system supplied with an 18 litre diaphragm pressure tank and pressure switch. It is designed for domestic, agricultural and light industrial water supply applications, including pressure boosting, potable water supply and general clean water distribution.
The pump features four stages with 304 stainless steel impellers, pump housing, suction chamber and intermediate chambers for corrosion resistance and durability. Its stainless steel shaft, silicon carbide/carbon mechanical seal and sturdy stainless steel mounting foot provide reliable construction for regular water supply applications.
The 18 litre pressure tank uses a butyl diaphragm to store water under pressure and reduce frequent pump starting during smaller water demands. The pressure switch automatically starts the pump when system pressure falls to 175kPa and stops it when pressure reaches 310kPa. The manufacturer specifies a tank pre-charge of 150kPa and approximately 5.5 litres of usable water draw-off between pump cycles.
The CBI4-40PT18 uses a 1020W motor operating on 240V single-phase power at 50Hz. It features a TEFC motor with IP54 enclosure protection, built-in thermal overload protection and a supplied 1.8 metre power lead with Australian three-pin plug. The system includes a brass suction line check valve and features a 32mm (1 1/4") female BSP inlet and 25mm (1") female BSP outlet.
